Seven Sundays between October and April, on the grass at Long Beach Reserve, in front of people who came to buy from Tasmanian makers.
What you get
- A 3m x 3m siteMarked out and allocated before the day, on grass, with your neighbours chosen so you're not trading beside a direct competitor.
- Your name on the site planPublished before each market and sent to every stallholder, so customers can find you.
- We bring the crowdFlyers, signage around Hobart and our own channels — all aimed at getting people down to Long Beach on the day.
- Your name in the line-upWe publish who's trading before each market. Send us a logo and a line about yourself and we'll use them — if not, your name still goes up. Free either way.
- A real crowdTasmania has the highest rate of pet ownership in the country, and these are people who came specifically to buy from local makers.
- Trading 9:00am to 1:30pmBump-in from 8:00am, vehicles off the reserve by 8:45am, site clear by 2:30pm.
What you need
- A current ABNEvery stallholder needs one. No exceptions.
- Public liability to $10 millionSend us your certificate of currency at least seven days before your first market. You can't trade without it.
- Council food registrationOnly if you're selling food or drink for people. We'll email you about what's needed.
- Your own marquee, table and chairsWe don't supply any of it — bring your own. Marquees must be held down with weights of at least 10kg per leg. Pegging into the reserve is not permitted. There's no mains power on site.
